HIG Capital Expands Investment Teams Across Multiple Divisions

HIG Capital has reinforced its investment capabilities through strategic personnel additions across its secondaries and small-cap platforms while completing major transactions in technology and media sectors.

The firm recruited Harrison B. Davis as Managing Director for its Small-Cap & Growth division, bringing over 15 years of lower middle market private equity experience to the Miami headquarters. Davis previously served as Partner and Co-Head of TZP Group’s Small-Cap strategy and held investment roles at Brown Brothers Harriman Capital Partners.

“Harrison’s deep strategic perspective and operational expertise, coupled with his investment acumen in the small-cap sector, will further strengthen our platform,” said Camilo E. Horvilleur, Co-Head of the H.I.G. SCG Fund.

Davis joins HIG Capital’s 40-person dedicated SCG team, which targets control equity investments in undermanaged and high-growth North American companies with EBITDA under $15 million. The expansion supports the firm’s focus on businesses with operational complexity or significant growth potential.

Simultaneously, HIG Capital has established a new GP Solutions Platform by hiring four senior professionals from Morgan Stanley’s private equity secondaries unit. The team will pursue continuation vehicles and other GP-led structures as sponsors seek alternatives to constrained traditional exit markets.

Recent deal activity demonstrates the firm’s diversified investment approach. HIG Capital completed the acquisition of Kantar Media, a global leader in media measurement operating in over 60 markets, and merged two technology companies to form Pellera Technologies with $4 billion in annual revenue.

The organizational enhancements reflect HIG Capital’s comprehensive expansion strategy across multiple investment approaches. Founded by Sami Mnaymneh and Tony Tamer in 1993, the firm manages $70 billion from 19 global offices spanning North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.

HIG Capital’s integrated platform includes private equity, growth equity, real estate, direct lending, infrastructure, special situations debt, and growth-stage healthcare investments. The firm’s recent team additions position it to capitalize on opportunities across the full spectrum of middle market investments.
